the constitution | sculptural performance piece | 2023

This is a constitution. It is a moan. I sigh. A wail. It is through one. To all who choose to bear. To witness. It is a beginning. and it is an ending and a middle. It holds nothing. It is weightless. It is filled with all that came before and all who are yet to be.

This will never be the same sigh or moan or wail. It will shift, just as I shift. It will change just as I change. It will degrade. It will implode. It will imply. It will punctuate. It will evolve.

The length will always be equal to or lesser than or greater than that which came before. It will always be informed by. It will never be defined for. It will be.
